Representation in the Legislature

Updated: Jan 18, 2019

Today marks the opening day of the 65th Legislative Session!

Just a quick reminder, in 2018 Wyoming ranked last in the nation for female representation in state government. We've moved out of the basement, based on preliminary data for 2019. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Wyoming now ranks ahead of Mississippi, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

The data that we review and present to our members can help inform better policies, but we need to have women's voices in the legislature, too. Unfortunately, only 15.6% of our State Legislators are women.

Follow along throughout the session. Pay attention to the bills that affect you. Get involved. You can make a difference.

Together, we will make a difference.
